DJCS is a curator based in Pōneke Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand. His research examines how curatorial practice can enable and sustain dissent. His broader interests include critical and political theory, queer histories and methodologies, institutional and infrastructural critique.
He is Founder of COMMODE. Previously, he was Director of Enjoy Contemporary Art Space (2022–2025), Assistant Curator at Artspace Aotearoa (2021–2022), Founder and Director of Parasite (2020–2022), and Co-Director of RM Gallery and Projectspace (2016–2018). He has worked independently and within public and artist-run galleries across Aotearoa New Zealand since 2012.
